Boost, lift and refresh your appearance with professional Dermal Fillers implemented by one of Australia’s leading cosmetic teams. If you’re age is starting to test your skin then a simple dermal filler may be able to complement your natural beauty and give you the little boost you need.
If your skin is starting to look tired, loose, or “hollow” under the eyes, it is generally caused by a loss of volume. This condition can also affect younger people, as it is referred to as volume maldistribution. Fortunately, Concept Clinics offers a range of solutions to correct and complement a variety of cosmetic issues.
Unfortunately, as we age, natural differences in our bone structure and facial fat largely contribute to how we look, and hence our appearance changes with age. Restoring (Giving back lost volume) or augmenting (Adding volume where it wasn’t before) volume must be done to afford a tangible improvement in the above concerns.
Dermal filler procedures takes between 10 and 45 minutes depending on the amount of filler used and the areas treated. Many people come to get dermal fillers injected during their lunch break and are immediately able to return to work as normal.
Prices start from $500.
Minimal discomfort and no downtime.
Results are immediate and last up to 24 months depending on the type of filler used and individual patient characteristics.

Concept Clinics Melbourne offers a variety the best Dermal Filler treatments in Melbourne to address number of different cosmetic concerns. Concept Clinics Melbourne offers popular dermal filler treatments including cheek enhancements, lip fillers and under eye fillers. Another popular treatment is nose fillers which is also referred to as a liquid nose job or non-surgical rhinoplasty.
Whatever your cosmetic needs may be, Concept Clinics provides a personalised collaborative approach to address your needs. Combining our professional knowledge and skill, we work with you, to achieve results that complement your natural beauty, rather than dramatically change how you look.
Whilst, many people have reservations about having Dermal Filler treatments, we understand why that is. That’s why we frequently run weekend short courses to educate ameutuers with no experience in Cosmetic Medicine. Furthermore, the industry remains poorly regulated which can lead to questionable results.
Unfortunately, there is no strict requirement to undergo training, and no measurable benchmark with which to assess who does and who doesn’t know what they are doing. As a result there are many negative outcomes and experiences which always makes for a great news story. Plus, botched Dermal Fillers and cosmetic procedures are now incredibly easy to find. Whether it be on TV, the news, social media, in magazines or the internet, there seems to be no shortage of poorly executed cosmetic work.
Simply put, this can be done by injecting filler, or fat, with the latter requiring liposuction surgery. Filler on the other hand, is done without the need for surgery, meaning lower cost, lower risk, and no downtime.
Benefits of Dermal Fillers
Successful Dermal Filler procedures are a great way to refresh and enhance your appearance. Good dermal filler work will effectively contour and define facial features.
Additionally, dermal fillers are much more affordable than surgery, involve significantly less risk, and has no downtime. When executed by an experienced cosmetic team, improvements may be obvious to many areas of the face. Areas that can be refined include:
- Adding volume and shape to the lips to get the ideal pout (lip filler)
- Disguising nose bumps, building a nose bridge, and refining the nose tip (Nose fillers also known as the non surgical Rhinoplasty or a liquid nose job).
- Improving dark circles and under eye hollows (tear trough fillers).
- Contouring the cheeks and sharpening the jawline (Cheek augmentation, jawline fillers, chin augmentation).
- Restoring collagen (With collagen stimulating injections).
Although bruising is uncommon, it can be easily covered with makeup, and swelling can be minimised by applying ice. Most people resume normal activity immediately, and some often come for treatment during their lunch break.
Millions of people have experienced first hand the benefits of Dermal Fillers to harmonise and balance their face. Dermal Fillers can restore lost volume and may improve your appearance to make you look less tired, less saggy, less hollow, and feel more positive.
Following a detailed consultation, the experienced team at Concept Clinics will work with you to develop a tailored treatment plan to address all your cosmetic concerns. We can introduce you to a number of different approaches to help you achieve your desired result(s).
If you’ve decided to undergo a dermal filler procedure to enhance the appearance of certain facial features, we would usually begin by applying an anaesthetic. This is followed by small needles used to inject Dermal Fillers into targeted areas.
Our priority is to deliver incredible results that you’re excited about whilst always ensuring your safety. Additionally, we aim to never perform treatments that are not necessary, or not in your best interest. Whilst the results of Dermal Fillers are immediate, it may take a few weeks to fully settle in, so it is important you give your body time to work with the Dermal Fillers before judging the final result.
Common Misconceptions with Dermal Fillers
Many people have concerns regarding Dermal Fillers. The two most common misconceptions that we routinely addresses in our consultations are:
- Dermal Fillers all look fake.
- I don’t need Dermal Fillers.
As we’ve already mentioned, the industry is very unregulated which has led to many poor cosmetic and dermal filler procedures. Contrary to popular belief, Dermal fillers can actually look very natural and when done by an experienced Cosmetic Team are often undetectable
Most people don’t want to look fake, and many more people than you may realise have had Dermal Filler treatments (including our team members). When used judiciously, the team at Concept Clinics can strategically inject volume to give your face natural harmony and proportion. Our professional work can even replace volume that you have lost over time, helping you to look younger and refreshed whilst also allowing you to age gracefully.
How old should I be when I start getting Dermal Fillers?
Many people of all different ages are experiencing first hand the benefits of a well planned and executed cosmetic treatment involving Dermal Fillers. Concept Clinics treats people from the ages of 18 through to people in their Golden Years. There is no firm rule on how old you should be to receive cosmetic treatment involving dermal fillers.
In general, if you are concerned about your appearance, and are over the age of 18, then a consultation with one of our cosmetic experts can help. The consultation can help you to make a more informed decision regarding the treatment(s) right for you. You are not in any way obliged to proceed with any treatment during a consultation, sometimes it pays simply to speak to an expert and learn what your options are.

Frequently Asked Questions
What are dermal fillers?
Dermal fillers are volumising gels consisting of a naturally occurring sugar that is also found naturally in our body. Many people have naturally volume deficient faces, and many others lose natural volume and collagen over time. This leads to a hollow and tired appearance, and a lack of defined features.
Dermal Fillers work by adding or restoring volume to these areas. Dermal Fillers can improve wrinkles and folds, plump lips, straighten noses, and define cheeks, chins and jawlines. The procedure is quick to perform, and has minimal discomfort, with immediate results.
How long does Dermal Filler last?
The longevity of Dermal Filler depends on the type or quality of the filler used, and the location that the filler was injected. In general, more mobile areas of the face metabolise filler faster.
As a guide, the premium Dermal Filler used at Cosmetic Clinics last between 6 to 24 months. Additionally reversible Dermal Filler wears off gradually over time. Thus you may begin to lose a visible effect before all of the Dermal Filler has been metabolised.
What areas can be treated with Dermal Fillers?
Dermal Fillers can be injected in the following areas:
- Lips for enhancement, hydration and plumping.
- Cheeks for greater definition and contour.
- Tear troughs to improve a tired appearance and dark circles.
- Marionette lines to soften them.
- Temples to make the face more balanced.
- Jawline and chin to sharpen and define the lower face.
- The nose to straighten and refine the nose tip.
Dermal Fillers work great in combination with other treatment modalities such as Anti Wrinkle Injections and Skin Tightening with Vivace.
Is Dermal Filler Treatment safe?
Dermal Fillers are extremely safe when performed by an experienced cosmetic team. Dermal Filler is a safe treatment, with minimal risks, side effects and downtime. Some of the side effects of Dermal Filler treatment may include:
- Swelling and bruising
- Asymmetry due to swelling (Temporary)
- Irregular lumps (Usually resolve without intervention)
There are very rare complications that it is important to be aware of. These include severe life threatening allergic reactions, infections, granulomas (Swollen nodules), and blood vessel blockages that very rarely lead to stroke, blindness, and death of tissue around the treatment site.
The premium Dermal Filler used by Concept Clinics can be reversed in the case of complications, however this does not guarentee the resolution of the eventuated risks. This treatment is strictly not performed in people who are pregnant, breastfeeding, having IVF treatment, or planning any of the aforementioned; or in those who have taken prescription acne medication from their Dermatologist in the preceeding 3 months.
What are the side effects of dermal fillers?
The main side effect is temporary bruising and swelling, which resolve over a few days. There are other important (But very rare) risks to be aware of. These will be discussed during your consultation with Concept Clinics.
Is this right for me?
Are you concerned by a lack of definition in your face, or do you feel you look tired and hollow? Or do you have more straight forward concerns with the size and shape of your nose or lips? If so, Dermal Fillers may be able to assist with your concerns.
What does Dermal Filler Treatment involve?
The procedure takes between 10 and 45 minutes depending on the area and amount of treatment. Different types of anaesthetic may be used to reduce discomfort. Some people report minor discomfort, but this settles quickly, as the product is mixed with local anaesthetic.
The Dermal Filler is injected using either a sharp needle, a blunt cannula, or a combination of both depending on the assessment made. After your treatment there may be mild, transient discomfort, and some swelling. Concept Clinics does not routinely follow up our Dermal Filler patients, however there is the option of a review if you have any concerns related to your treatment.
What should I do before my Dermal Filler treatment?
There are a few steps to take before your Dermal Filler treatment to ensure the best outcome, and the lowest risk of side effects. They include:
- Ceasing use of all anti-inflammatories including aspirin, herbal supplements, fish oil, krill oil, glucosamine and vitamin E 1 week before your treatment (Unless you have been advised to take these by a Medical Practitioner).
- Avoiding alcohol for 2 days before your treatment.
- Attend your appointment without makeup.
If you do not adhere to the above your treatment may still proceed, but you will have a higher risk of side effects.
What will happen after my Dermal Filler treatment?
Following your treatment you will be provided with full aftercare instructions. You will be able to resume most normal activity immediately. You will be numb around the treatment area temporarily due to the effect of the local anaesthetic. There may be discomfort as the anaesthetic wears off. The most important instructions are the following:
- Apply an ice pack gently for any discomfort and to reduce swelling.
- Do not massage the treated area.
- Avoid major dental treatment for 2 weeks (Clarify with your dentist regarding suitability is you are unsure).
- Avoid strenuous exercise for 24 hours.
- Avoid alcohol for 24 hours.
The Dermal Filler can take over 4 weeks to fully integrate with your tissue. In this time it is important not to be concerned regarding the outcome. The Dermal Filler will soften over time, and swelling will reduce. We can review you at after 4 weeks if there are any concerns.
